COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA)

2026 CSA Sign-Ups Are Open

Pickups begin in late June

Our CSA is rooted in a long-standing local model, with a few tweaks of our own. If you have feedback, bright ideas, or creative solutions that might make this even better (need a Farm Bucks card for your child? want a secret hand signal to confirm pickup?), please reach out. We are very open to suggestions.

What Is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a way to support a local farm while eating with the seasons.

When you join, you commit early in the year, before most crops are ready. In return, you receive a share of what we grow throughout the season. Some weeks are abundant, some are lighter. This is normal. This is farming. This is why we do not promise unlimited tomatoes forever.

CSA has been around for a long time, and the idea is simple. You commit, we grow the food, and together we roll with whatever the growing season throws at us. Sometimes it throws zucchinis. Sometimes it throws curveballs.

No farm chores are required. Truly. We will not hand you a shovel. If you ever want to help during the spring, you are welcome, but participation is optional and coffee is encouraged.

How We Grow

We do not grow everything organically. We do grow many crops without man-made chemicals, and we are thoughtful about what we use and when we use it.

We follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM), the same approach SIW used and our family has practiced for decades. That means we monitor crops closely and only treat when a real issue exists. It takes more planning, more attention, and fewer chemicals overall. It also means we spend a lot of time staring at plants.

It is not always the easiest method, but it is the one that makes the most sense to us.

What You Get

CSA shares are offered as:

  • Full Share: one pickup per week

  • Half Share: one pickup every other week

The season typically begins in mid-June, peaks in July and August, and winds down in October. Pumpkins and fall decorating items arrive right on schedule, because pumpkins understand deadlines.

Being part of a CSA means sharing both the good and the not-so-good. If a crop struggles, you may receive less of it or none at all. If a crop thrives, you may receive more of it. Mother Nature is in charge, and she does not take requests.

We will work to keep shares as close as possible to what former SIW CSA members expect, and we encourage members to speak up if something feels off.

Member Accounts

Once registration and payment are complete, your CSA share will be added to your customer account. One CSA box will be available weekly or every other week based on your share type.

Members receive:

  • A physical membership card at their first pickup

  • A digital pass that can be added to your smartphone

Please use your card or digital pass when picking up your CSA. As we get to know everyone by name, this system may eventually evolve into a friendly wave and a “hey, you’re good.” Until then, cards help.

If you also participate in the Farm Bucks program, those funds will be loaded to the same account for easy use.

Picking Up Your Share

Each week, we post a board showing exactly what is included in your CSA share. This system runs on trust, so please take only what is listed. No substitutions, no extras, no “but I really love cucumbers” moments.

If something looks incorrect, missing, or confusing, please ask. We promise it was not done to personally inconvenience you.

  • The CSA list is posted every Monday morning

  • Pickup is available any day of the week

  • Weekday pickups are encouraged to help avoid weekend crowds

Most of what we sell is harvested the same day it hits the stand. Yes, really. The vegetables are still bragging about it.

Questions?

If you ever have questions, concerns, or just need clarification, reach out. We are friendly, we promise, and we want your CSA experience to be something you genuinely look forward to each week.

Farm Bucks

Not ready to commit to a CSA but still want the perks? Farm Bucks are a simple way to prepay and get more.

Farm Bucks work like a house account at the stand. Load $400 or more onto your account and receive 10% free farm credit added immediately. For example, load $400 and get $440 to spend. That extra $40 is free money and can be used on anything at the stand.

Your Farm Bucks are stored securely in your member account and accessed at checkout with your Farm Bucks card. Cards will be available for pickup at the stand, and you will also receive a digital e-membership card.

Funds are tied directly to your account and can be reloaded at any time, making checkout fast and easy.

A 3% convenience fee applies to card payments.

Farm Bucks are flexible, straightforward, and ideal if you want the discount without committing to a CSA.
